It led through stages of photography, painting, and video. Using the actual tape from old 8 track tapes inspired the initial designs which led into the telling of a story the visual representation. The imagery came from the tension derived in both the lyrics and the musical composition. It is a poetic ode put to beats and rhyme. I wanted the artwork of the cover to speak to that tension and have the font be in response to the energy behind the lyrical angst and devotion. As if there was so much visual tension even the font responded. The color palette, the composition, and the font drive the force of motion. The title of the shirt, “More Than Conquerors”, is repeated 12 times in 12 different languages. It is derived from the scriptural passage from the book of Romans by Saint Paul, where he writes about overcoming even the harsh reality of our own deaths and hardships through love.” In this design I only wanted to focus on the words and nothing else. No other distractions. Just three words repeated twelve times in Italian, Korean, Dutch, English, Hungarian, Vietnamese, French, Portuguese, Chinese, Russian, German, and Spanish.
